    As the Harcourts Northern Region Business Development Manager, Debbie brings a wealth of experience to the role, including 10 years in the real estate industry across sales, management, training and recruitment. She has most recently been the Harcourts NZ Business Operations Manager, assisting office administrators, sales people, managers and business owners with the daily operation of their businesses using the Harcourts technology suite of products. CEO Hayden Duncan says the group is thrilled to have Debbie step into the role of Northern Region Business Development Manager. “Debbie knows the real estate industry inside out. She has run two of our branches as well as her own successful IT business.     Having worked for over 26 years at Harcourts Jo has experience in most facets of the real estate industry. Now currently the Chief Operations Officer for Harcourts New Zealand she is also a Director and shareholder of the company, a Director of Mortgage Express and a Director of Real ITO. Jo has exceptional leadership skills that have been consistently recognized in the various roles within the company that she has held over the years. As Financial Controller she lead the Finance Department in developing the best accounting practices, as Head of Technology she lead the team as they developed the first Harcourts website (now the most visited real estate company website in New Zealand), as Head of Franchise Development she oversaw the franchising of 90 offices from company owned to franchised. She went on to become the Northern Regional Manager where she played a key role in growing the Auckland market share and as General Manager she was responsible for the day to day running of the company as it grew to over 180 offices with over 1,800 sales consultants. With a corporate team of 28 reporting directly to her Jo has a strong commitment to the highest of professional standards and she is enthusiastic in providing information and tools that her staff can then implement to ensure the success of their franchise owners. There is no doubt that Franchise Owners across the country hold Jo in high esteem, they look to her for advice and direction and they value her business acumen as well as her friendship. Harcourts International Managing Director, Mike Green, and award-winning Franchise Owners such as Graham Viall and Martin Cooper cannot speak highly enough about her leadership, management and assistance with growth of their own businesses.     Working for the Harcourts group has given me the opportunities to experience all levels of a Franchise group first hand. Beginning in a smaller office gave me the understanding of how offices deal with challenges and reach their objectives from a grass roots level. Being able to take that understanding into a corporate level was essential in appreciating how each office works on a day to day basis. The Business Operations Manager role has given me the competency to understand and deal with offices at their current position. From an office starting from the ground, rebranding; or a well-established, highly productive office. The major skill in the role, is the ability to appreciate that each office struggles with the same issues and all aim to reach the same goals. Being able to identify unique personality and management styles whilst then being able to translate the same message to these differing people is how to be most effective. My goal is to help others maximise their potential through identifying strengths, acknowledging weaknesses and working to support both efficiently and effectively. Business is about finding your niche and doing it better than anybody else. My goal is to use the tools available to identify these niches and create successful business models around them.

Before joining NAI Harcourts, he was leasing manager for Westfield New Zealand. Mike is excited about the future prospects of NAI Harcourts, which he says has performed phenomenally well since its inception in 2010, achieving over half a billion dollars of written sales in the past 12 months.
