Yes it has happened, I have finally traded in my gumboots for the high heels and followed my long term desire to become involved in the Real Estate Industry. As many of you are aware, Dean and I have made the transition from traditional “townies” to establish a successful career in dairying. Our commitment to the industry saw us take the 2005 Taranaki Sharemilker of the Year Title and then go on to be placed 3rd in the New Zealand Sharemilker of the Year 2005. Our farming career has enabled us to gain many valuable business skills in order to achieve our goals. Previous to farming, I was with the team at the Hawera Star as advertising manager. This time spent in advertising enabled me to utilize my artistic ability and these skills, I believe, will be a great asset in creating an effective marketing campaign for prospective clients. So what brought me to want to sell Real Estate? I feel passionate about the buying and selling of property. Over the years Cindy has kept herself busy with 19 years in the dairy industry, 6 years in logistics and even been known to help out part time in local businesses such as The Warehouse, the South Taranaki Club and District Supervisor for Statistics NZ Census 2011. Patrick Myers

I have been involved in Rural Real Estate for a number of years in the central and southern Taranaki area. Prior to this I was involved in the Dairy Industry, having worked my way up from milking 230 cows through an 8-bale shed for a 7% share, to owning and milking on my own two dairy properties. Although no longer involved in the day to day running of these farms, I consider myself fully conversant with the trends and happenings in the farming industry. My upbringing has been one which has given me a lot of insight and knowledge about the rural sector, both property and people. My late father had a very strong clientele base, being a stock dealer in Taranaki and surrounding districts for some forty years. I value the knowledge and contacts I have acquired from him. I feel I am able to offer clients a service that is honest, committed and based on sound knowledge of rural property.

Peter Newell

Peter joined the leading team of sales consultants at Harcourts Hawera in October 2002. He enjoys working with the pro-active, focused and friendly team at Harcourts, to help deliver a professional service to their many existing and new clients. After 15 years of running a successful farming business Peter has worked for a forestry investment company and administered the exciting development work within Patea. This work involved sales, property development and financial management and more importantly communicating with different personnel. Shane Rowe

Shane has been actively involved in Hawera Real Estate since 1988 from small beginnings as a Sales Consultant for a stock and station company to owner operating Hawera’s and South Taranaki’s No. 1 Real Estate Company. From his first days on the job Shane has always been a top performer in the Hawera Real Estate market and has a natural affinity for dealing with the public and a belief in getting the job done. In 1995 Shane and his wife Annette took the natural progression of real estate Sales Consultants to Business Ownership and opened Harcourts Hawera. The business model of utilising the national dominance of a major real estate player i.e. Harcourts combined with the strength of local knowledge and relationships appealed to Shane & Annette.
