Julian Blanchard

My name is Julian Blanchard and I am proud to be part of the Harcourts team in Timaru and build on the trusted reputation of a hardworking and experienced team that will get results for you. Born, raised and educated in Timaru, this region is my home and daily I feel privileged to be able to bring up my family in this community. I spent the first 10 years of my working life running my own business supplying Panasonic business equipment around New Zealand. It taught me the skills of having to communicate and provide excellent service to my customers. Returning to Timaru in 2006 to raise my family I begun the path to try and represent the region in central government politics standing in the 2008 and 2011 elections in the seat of Rangitata exceeding expectations both times. I also enjoy playing cricket and rugby for Star and Celtic respectively as well as getting involved in a number of local community groups. Head hunted in 2008 to manage a document solutions company in Timaru, the sales and customer service experience I had developed continued alongside working part time for the Port FM Music Network as an on air announcer. I have also been utilised as a public speaker, being a MC for many high profile events and have be honoured to have been chosen to interview many celebrities such as Steve Williams, Sir Graham Henry, Georgina and Caroline Evers-Swindell and Sarah Ulmer. After the 2011 election it was time to make a change and a conversation with David Blackham and Brent Williams at Blackham Boote Real Estate Ltd saw me make the move to study and qualify to enter the real estate industry. This experience combined with several years in sales and customer management brings me to my new role as Sales Consultant for Harcourts - Blackham Boote Real Estate Ltd.
