Janine Little
Property Consultant, DunedinWith an extensive background in office administration, accounts and office management, Janine made the decision to make a career move to real estate after successfully selling and then purchasing their current family home and realised that real estate was something she felt extremely passionate about. Janine says “after successfully purchasing our recent family home, I realised that buying or selling one of the biggest assets that you have can be, at times, stressful and challenging. As your real estate salesperson, I can help take away some of that stress and challenges while providing my clients unparallel service, personal experience, professional standards and services”. Janine has purchased several properties and along with her husband Craig and their two daughters have renovated and sold them, so she can draw on her own personal experiences to help you through your real estate transaction Janine prides herself on her energy, commitment, honesty, attention to detail and sense of humour along with her high level of integrity and “can do” attitude to bring you a high level of service and professionalism when it comes to your real estate needs. Outside of real estate, Janine enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking the family dog, biking, being an active member of her daughter´s school committee and spending time renovating her home. Reference from Dave McMillan (Vendor): In April 2012 following the death of our mother it was decided that the estate had to be wound up and the family home sold. We had no preference for any agent or real estate firm. My brother in law, Chris Keith, suggested Janine who was just starting a career in real estate. Following refurbishment of the house which included an almost repaint inside, rewiring and new carpet it was placed in Janines hands. Janine was impressed with the improvements and presentation of the house and was excited about getting it sold for us. This was Janines first listing which I feel worked to our advantage. Janine gave it her total commitment holding several open homes. She kept us updated with feedback on the open home either later in the day or the day following the open homes. Eventually someone that actually wanted the home (not just someone after a bargain) was found and the house sold, with a happy purchaser and happy vendors. I was very happy with Janines performance and I would not hesitate in using Janines services again to sell real estate. Janine has a nice friendly manner, always acted in a professional way keeping us fully informed with progress in selling the house. She was excited and motivated in her new career with total commitment to reach our goals in selling the house.

Julie Robinson
Sales Consultant, DunedinMeet Team Robinson People refer to Shane Robinson as “the extra 10-20% man”. Why? Because – time and time again – that’s how much extra his determination and negotiation skills seem to add to a sale price. Shane and wife Julie make a well-rounded team. Shane enjoyed a successful career in the police force, while Julie was a legal clerk, specialising in property conveyancing. They were already long-time property investors themselves when, over five years ago, they realised they had the enthusiasm, knowledge and interest in people to move into real estate as a career. “Our objective is simple: to achieve the best possible price for the vendor. It’s not just about getting the ‘sold’ sticker up and being content. For us, the hard work starts from the initial meeting. We find out our clients’ own goals and get an understanding of why they want to move on. We work away patiently and with intuition. It’s what we’d expect of an agent and it’s what gives us real satisfaction in our work.” Team Robinson takes the time to ensure every step of the sales process is carried out to exceptionally high standards. From the photography and marketing of a property, through to the communications with both the vendor and prospective buyers. They are thorough and professional, while also being very easy to deal with and personable. The couple recently strengthened their team, by introducing a Buyers’ Consultant. Shane and Julie felt that buyers were often neglected in the day-to-day business of real estate, so they invited Tania Porteous to join them. With a background in accountancy and tax investigation, Tania is enjoying the new role, which concentrates solely on the needs of prospective buyers. She follows up after open homes and assists people in their hunt for the right property. “I listen to what the buyers are looking for – what their price range is, which areas they like, what specific requirements they have – and alert them to properties which may fit their criteria. Buyers genuinely appreciate that we’re taking the time to help them.”

Rhys Vidgen
Sales Consultant DunedinRhys is a very open and enthusiastic person who comes from a very strong sales and marketing background. He has worked in the ski industry incorporating sales, marketing and promotion positions in New Zealand, Europe and the U.S.A. Rhys has owned and operated his own sports retail business for 10 years and held the National Sales Executive position for the Four Seasons (Retail Links) home and leisure chain. Combining the above work experiences with 7 years in the building industry in New Zealand and the U.S.A gives Rhys a well-rounded working experience which is well suited to the real estate industry Rhys is committed to delivering a high level of professional client service which he believes is paramount to any business transaction. This attitude results in the goal of establishing ongoing client relationships through operating with the highest amount of honesty, trust, and integrity. Outside of real estate Rhys lives in Karitane just north of Dunedin, and has special outdoor interests in skiing, kayaking, fishing, gardening and mountain biking. Rhys is married to Sara and has two beautiful daughters TESTIMONIALS I have known Rhys Vidgen for several years, and have found Rhys to be customer focused, and will always try to find a solution when one is required. He is reliable, trustworthy and I would recommend him for any role that requires integrity. I wish Rhys well for the future. -Ross Sneddon Rhys is passionate about the products he sells and matching them to the customers’ needs. -Deborah McConochie I have known Rhys for over 15 years and consider him, in both his life and business, as a very honest and reliable man. I am proud of our friendship and am more than happy to recommend him as trustworthy in any kind of business. -Heinz Schwarze One of the reasons I listed my Karitane Cottage with Rhys Vidgen was because he is a local Karitane person. From the first meeting it was like a breath of fresh air having his enthusiasm and genuine love of what he was doing together with enjoying the marketing of my cottage. Buying and selling a home is one of the most stressful and personal experiences and throughout the whole process, Rhys gave me the confidence that he was 'the man for the job'. From listing to the actual auction, Rhys talked me through the whole process, and even the auctioneer for the auction day rounded off a successful selling of my cottage. Rhys kept me fully informed throughout the whole month what interest was being shown, potential buyers and all the activity during each open home. He made sure the cottage was presented in a great way along with even lighting the fire when I was not available. Best Regards Bernadette Eva and I have bought and sold around 3 houses each, both here in NZ and in the UK. When we selected our Real Estate representative, we interviewed 3 agents before deciding to go with Rhys Vidgen. He won our business because of his pleasant, respectful manner, knowledge of real estate process and protocol and enthusiasm to do a good job for us. His marketing strategy was straight forward and honest and we felt that that would be how he would deal with us and our potential purchasers. He has certainly met and exceeded our expectations. Always punctual, polite, consistently following through with queries from us and buyers. Keeping us up to date with progress - not just hit reports, but responses from our conditional purchaser, who did eventually come through with a solid sale. When the market was slow before Christmas, we really appreciated his acceptance of our views and not pushing for a marketing strategy that we were not comfortable with. We would certainly recommend Harcourts, Rhys (and lately Sara) to our family and friends for all of the above reasons - not just the cake and wine, although that was much appreciated too! I almost forgot to mention the quality of the sale boards and promotional material. We were very happy with the standard of these. Again, clear user friendly and accessible, which is what you want when you are trying to reach a wide audience. Thank you Rhys and the team for making a potentially fraught and burdensome process as hassle free as possible. Keep up the good work! Best regards, Anne and Eva Morning Rhys, I want to sincerely thank you for your professionalism and assistance received this week with my impending move to Dunedin from Australia. I am very grateful for your knowledge, expertise, honesty about the market place, but most of all you told me the truth about real estate purchases here in Dunedin and surrounds. You were open, friendly and engaging. You were only one of two real estate agents that handed me the new Zealand Residential Property Sale and Purchase Agreements Guide and the only one to give me the Real Estate Agents Act (Professional Conduct and Client Care Rules 2009) this speaks volumes to me. I have seen all real estate firms in this town with the exception of one. As an Australian, and a woman, I have found a very misogynistic attitude with businesses I have dealt with here in Dunedin, and as such I have been dismissed by some organizations. Fortunately this outdated attitude wasn't found at Harcourts and especially with you - thank you!! Believe me it's was a breath of fresh air to finally meet you, after doing the rounds of real estate agents, let me tell you that your organization stands at the top of the tree, poles apart from some I have dealt with during my time here. I look forward to our continuing professional relationship. Kind regards, Jules
