Austin Harris
Business Owner / AuctioneerAustin Harris started in real estate in 1991. He soon rose to the position of Number 1 Salesperson for a large national real estate franchise by marketing select properties and selling many of these under the auction process. In 2004 he joined the partnership of Tony Hay and Rosie Harvey 'Taupo Realty Services Ltd' and he is the companies Head Auctioneer as well as specialising in training and motivating the team to adapt to today's market challenges.

Rosie Harvey
Business Owner / AuctioneerAfter starting a real estate career in sales then progressing into management with a major franchise group in Auckland in 1991, Rosie went on to gain her AREINZ (licensee) qualifications in 1997. She moved to Taupo in 1997 and set up a Taupo office with the same franchise group with new business partner Tony Hay in June 1998. The business soon flourished with their fresh marketing approach and the Taupo office became the Top national office by 2000; Their top salesperson, Austin Harris joined the partnership in 2005 and their business flourished and retained the top office accolade until 2010 when the office changed direction with its franchise brand. The Taupo office joined the Harcourts Group in November 2011, an exciting move for the company as Harcourts are dominating the New Zealand real estate market, along with strong growth in Australia and many other countries of the world. Since 2003, when Rosie when gained her Auctioneers licence, she has enjoyed calling auctions on a regular basis and really enjoys the interaction with home owners and buyers. She has always been an avid believer in the auction process being the most proactive method of selling in any market. Rosie feels her experience in this area is a useful addition to her "hands on" management style.

Residential Sales Consultant (Licensed Salesperson REAA 2008)I commenced my real estate career in 2008, after managing the Taupo Times for many years. With a background in Sales and Marketing I understand the importance of marketing in the real estate industry, and I’ve learned the difference between what works and what doesn’t. Having been associated with Harveys (prior to our change of brand to Harcourts) both as a Buyer and a Seller for many years, I have learned that if the 3 “Ps” of Real Estate – Presentation – Promotion – Price are right, then the rest naturally follows. My family and I came to Taupo in 1995 to operate a large motel, combining business and family life in a wonderful location beside beautiful Lake Taupo. We have bought up our three children here and appreciate the great schools and leisure activities available in Taupo. Our children are now at University or off travelling the world, so I have been able to devote all my time to building my real estate career in what is widely acknowledged as a challenging market. From November 2008 until April 2011, I worked in a very successful partnership with Wendy de Haan (a top consultant with Harveys since the business started in 1998). Wendy retired from real estate in 2011, but I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to learn “the business” from such an experienced and successful agent. Wendy taught me the importance of communication, consistency and care as we helped our clients through their real estate transactions. Angela Nooyen

Turangi & Southern Lake Taupo Sales Consultant (Licensed Salesperson REAA 2008)Having moved from Auckland to Turangi in the year 2000 I happily settled with my family near the Tongariro River. We believe Turangi is the heart of the southern Lake Taupo region and is a unique area with easy access to the central mountains, lakes, and rivers. Just four hours from Auckland or from Wellington on State Highway No.1, it is semi-rural with a mixture of permanent and holiday homes. Not ready to retire, I was pleased in 2001 to join the Harcourts office in Turangi and to continue service as a salesperson until the end of 2010, when I had some rest time with a new house to build and a garden to establish. I have enjoyed living in many areas of New Zealand, including Wellington where I worked as an Associate to a Justice of the Supreme Court. After raising my family, there followed many years in the Insurance Industry in Auckland as an agent, a broker, and finally owner-operator of a specialist insurance office, which gave me valuable experience in sales. During this time, and from a very young age, music (piano in particular) has been an interest of mine. Now in 2012 I am delighted to be able to join the vibrant and professional Harcourts team in Taupo and bring their expertise to the southern lake region. Dale Maisey
Residential Sales Consultant (Licensed Salesperson REAA 2008)Dale brings to Harcourts Taupo a diversity of experience and a true understanding of rural life in New Zealand having had the fantastic opportunity as a teenager and young adult to have lived in several quiet country towns and worked on a number of sheep and beef farms before taking on a commercial career. Dale attended high school in Marton where she achieved her School Certificate and also much to her family’s delight, a University Entrance. A high achiever, Dale excelled not only in the classroom but also in sport from an early age and this is an interest that has stayed with her right to today having represented her region in national Polocrosse championships and played hockey at a national level. Not content with this she has completed the Oxfam 100km Trailwalk two years in a row, competed in Bodybuilding competitions for two years and has completed numerous half marathons and tramping expeditions. Declining an opportunity to attend university, Dale’s first job was with the Bank of New Zealand where she excelled over the next 18 years working her way up through customer service, through to the international division before moving on to managing several branches. Her final role with the Bank was as a Business Analyst. Dale looks back fondly on her 18 years with the Bank which gave her a wonderful grounding in business and an opportunity to rub shoulders with some very successful people from farmers to manufacturers and international traders. She moved to Taupo in 1988 where she met Gordon, her husband, and decided to settle down and make this her home. Dale has two gorgeous girls, Ashleigh and Nicole, who are 11 and 12 and like their mum, are both keen sports people. The whole family love waterskiing in the summer months and the girls dabble in snow skiing with Dad in the winter time – but given a chance, the family would happily hop on a plane and seek out new travel destinations to explore.
