Lance has been selling rural properties in Waikato for more than 10 years, and is one of the stars of the Harcourts' Rural and Lifestyle Team, based in the Hamilton Central office. He has lifelong ties to the farming community in this region; from his upbringing, his early working years as a stock clerk and stock agent and from his and his family's interest in horse training and harness racing. His background is of farming stock, his father farming on a ballot farm at Rerewhakaitu, BOP, on return from WWII. Lance's schooling included the excellent preparation of Te Aute College,. In his early career days Lance worked for a wellknown livestock company as a stock agent and auctioneer based in the Waikato. His passion for auctioneering has given him opportunities to be involved in several community fund-raising events, for causes such as the Cancer Foundation, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Fine Art organisations, and the Harlequins RFC,in Hamilton where he has been Club Captain for some years. His interests include the training and driving of harness race horses and he has a passion for rugby. He has coached many teams including the Waikato Under 18's he also has a keen interest in the history of many of the small towns in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty where he has lived or built strong ties through his horse training days.
