Russell Lange joined Harcourts Grenadier City after 30 years in the automotive industry in Christchurch. For the past 20 years he was Dealer Principal/CEO of two of the city’s highest profile dealerships - Team Hutchinson Ford and Christchurch BMW and MINI.
Running a franchised automotive dealership requires skills in people management, negotiation, sales and marketing, business administration and a passion for the customer, resulting in a world class record of Customer Satisfaction Awards at Team Hutchinson Ford over many years.
Following the sale of Christchurch BMW in early 2009 and a period of early retirement, a quiet introduction to the Real Estate Industry on a part-time basis has turned into a full time, full on career.
“Like most things in business, the real satisfaction comes from getting a positive result for the customer - in this case vendors and buyers. Successful business is about strong relationships.
I want to build my business based on integrity, exclusivity, confidentiality and of course ... results!
And there have been a few highlights;
My first sale at $2.8m was very special (yes, I did have one of those ‘I should quit now!’ moments).
Achieving number two out of 50 highly talented agents in Grenadier City Office October 2009 - this was personally very satisfying in my first few months.
Receiving the Harcourts Silver Status Award in the fourth quarter of 2009, recognising my position in the top 20% of agents nationwide.
